VBS and Crafts

Hi,

So VBS was Friday and Saturday, both days went well. Mom and I were in charge of crafts so we made jellyfish and tie dyed shirts. 

Friday night we made the shirts using a kit that came with many colors. The colors didn't soak into the shirts very well but some of them turned out nice. 

Here's mine:

On Saturday we made jellyfish out of paper bowls, ribbon, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes. For those who want to make their own here are the steps you need to take:

1. Turn your paper bowl over and poke a small hole in the middle for the pipe cleaner, this is so you can hang it on something. (Do not add the pipe cleaner yet)

2. Decorate your bowl using whatever you want to use. (We used crayon but marker or paints may work too)

3. Flip your bowl up right and get tape or glue to add your ribbon. (We used a hot glue gun and tape)

4. Cut the ribbon to the length you want and attach it to the inside of the bowl. (We used party streamers and different types of ribbon.)

5. Once the ribbon is connected, flip it back over and glue your googly eyes on the side of the bowl. (You will not see the top of the bowl. This is done last so you have less chance of knocking the eyes off.)

6. Insert the pipe cleaner and bend the end inside the bowl to keep it in place.

Now you can hang it anywhere you want. Of course this is what we did, feel free to add anything else you would like.
